Getting there

How to reach Cologne Zoo.

The Cologne Zoo is open for visitors again.

The Cologne Zoo is open for visitors again.

The opening of the zoo is subject to the maintenance of the ban on contact, the rules of distance and hygiene.

Important: Anyone wishing to visit the Zoo needs not only a valid admission ticket (permanent or day ticket), but also a "Reservation Ticket" for the day of their visit, purchased free of charge in advance.

We kindly ask you: Please order only as many online reservation tickets as you need. Make your reservation. Otherwise you will deprive the Zoo of revenue and other interested parties of the chance to visit. Information on this under FAQ about opening.

You can find the online reservation tool at www.koelnerzoo.de/reservierung-en

Nearly all animal houses are open again. In the houses, masks are compulsory and there is an upper limit for visitors. There may be short waiting times. Folders regulate the entrance.

Aquarium and Tropical House must unfortunately remain closed.

The playgrounds are open. The general rules for the distance between the children and their carers apply here.

Commented feeding must unfortunately be omitted. Group tours, children's birthday parties and other events are currently not available.

The Zoo's catering offers snacks and refreshments "to go" at the various snack bars on the Zoo premises. The Zoo Restaurant will remain closed.

The ZooShop at the main entrance is open subject to the rules of distance. Masks are compulsory here.

We ask for your understanding that, in order to avoid oncoming traffic, the visit can only take place along the classic circular route signs (anti-clockwise). Please note our route guidance and special signs!

The normal ticket tariffs apply (exception: we do not offer group tariffs, as group admission is currently not possible within the framework of the general contact ban; no school class tariffs, Kita tariffs (emergency care) only on prior request (limited contingent) from our visitor service at besucherservice@koelnerzoo.de
